Thurmonds Owned Sharptons

I read today that Strom Thurmond's family once owned a slave who was an ancestor of Al Sharpton. I don't know what it is, but something about that is funny.

Hey, at least old Al can now sue for reparations to pay off his presidential campaign debts.

You haven't lived if you haven't yet seen the new Southpark episode where Jessie Jackson pulls his pants down to have his ass kissed by Kyle's dad.

"'Pologize. C'mon, 'pologize."

Reverend Al is shittin' in tall cotton over this news. He hasn't quite figured out how to make money off his "relation" to the Thurmonds yet, but just give him a little time to think, he'll come up with something - maybe he'll try to get a refund for the sale price of great grandpappy...

Oh no, not a fellow south park fan. that episode was hysterical. I liked the part where "Token" yelled "Jesse Jackson is not the king of all black people!" to which Stan replied "He told my dad he was".

Something like that. It was really funny.

I seem to remember having said something similar to Token's statement right on this very blog some time back.

It's bizarre that US society has somehow deemed it necessary to have "black leaders," such as Jackson, Sharpton and that supreme nut of all supreme super-nuts, Louis Farrakhan, when we've come to a point where we despise and revile such self-appointed "white leaders," as David Duke, and/or whoever is Grand Imperial Wizard of the KKK this week.

True colorblind would be nice. I don't know if we'll ever get there... but it would be nice.

Oh, and... Eric Cartman RULES!
